We deal with Self-Assessment and various tax related work and our charges are between £30 and £100 plus vat per hour depending on the level of seniority of the individual undertaking the work. Full estimates can be supplied together with detailed annual engagement letters which the client agrees prior to commencement for either individual projects or ongoing work.
The types of work covered are:
- Appeals against penalties/surcharges on late submission of Returns.
- Capital Gains Tax on disposal of shares or property.
- Chargeable events.
- Corrections for earlier years (Overpayment relief).
- Declaration of disposals of share options.
- Expense claims.
- High net worth individuals.
- Overseas income.
- Share Option Schemes
- Sole traders.
- Repayment claims.
If you are within the HMRC criteria you are technically required to submit a Self-Assessment Tax Return. First register to obtain your Unique Tax Reference (UTR) then ensure the completed forms are submitted by the appropriate deadlines. These are 31 January 2019 for the 2017/18 Return and 3 months after the date of issue for earlier years Returns.
Where summary Tax Return information is supplied concisely we can prepare the Return quickly and keep our charges low from £150 to £250 plus vat pa. If there are rental accounts and/or capital gains there will be additional charges. Some of our pensioners do require additional support in obtaining information from third parties and explaining the tax system. We charge for this at an hourly rate of between £30 and £100 per hour plus vat.
Basic package £150 - £250 net of VAT pa.
Unfortunately, due to legal requirements (insurance, engagements letters, data protection, money laundering) our charges for even the simplest Return start at £150. Our basic package does include:
Standard package £250 - £500 net of VAT pa
Premium package £500+ net of VAT pa
